POSITION SUMMARY: Directs and supervises activities of employees engaged in packaging products, shipping, loading, and unloading trucks and in storing, retrieving, packing, and distributing finished goods.

• ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate and develop Shipping/Receiving and warehouse functions. Achieve cost-effective logistics practices, monitor and improve logistics compliance related and not limited to carrier compliance, BL and shipping documentation to meet corporate, financial, and customer audit requirements.

• Assigns resources, detailing all tasks and when they should be completed by meeting predicted completion dates.
• Troubleshoots and provides resolution for issues or problems that occur during receiving, material handling, packaging.
• Organizes project paperwork, including travelers, purchase order receipts, and maintains records.
• Analyzes and prepares reports about shipping and receiving processes for upper management and suggests ways to improve efficiency.
• Ensures company materials and physical working spaces meet and exceed company presentation standards.
• Leads by example promoting Safety, Quality, Delivery, & Cost/Productivity.
• Conducts annual reviews for team members that report to this individual.
• Provides encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks.
• Assists management with hiring processes and new team member training.
• Answers team member questions, helps with team member problems, and oversees team member work for quality and compliance.
• Performs daily balancing and attendance in ERP system to ensure proper documentation of performance and work completed.
• Communicates deadlines and shipping goals to team members. Communicates concerns and policies among management and team members.
• Develops strategies to promote team member adherence to company rules, safety and performance goals.
• Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations.
• Provides quality customer service, including interacting with customers (internal and external), answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints.
• Adheres to safety rules at all times, wearing proper PPE required for task being performed and follows all Company policies.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment at all times.
• All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Seven (7) employees; Receiving (includes incoming inspection), material handlers, packers, shipping and driver.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree in Business preferred.

5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

10 years of experience in Shipping & Receiving & Materials Management with ERP experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

English fluent.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Basic math
